This school year, the school excursion for international students was carried out on January 17th, 2021, although it is generally carried out around May. Due to the COVID--19 pandemic, the trip was reduced in size, with only six international students from the Takamatsu Campus and nine from Takuma Campus, Japanese students, and faculty members participating. The group visited three places: the Seto Ohashi Commemorative Hall, Shikoku Aquarium, and Zentsuji Temple on this school excursion.
The international students were barely able to explore Japan due to the COVID-19 situation. They were able to gain a deeper understanding of Kagawa, Shikoku, and Japan through interacting with Japanese students and faculty members. We hope that they had a refreshing time during this excursion. At the Seto Ohashi Commemorative Hall, the students showed interest in how the construction techniques they learn in class are were used to build the Seto Ohashi Bridge. At Zentsuji Temple, the students were excited to draw Omikuji and enjoyed listening to Japanese students explain the contents.
This year, part of the excursion expenses were supported by the "Kagawa Prefecture Infectious Disease-Resistant University Development Promotion Project Subsidy."
Although the students did not wear masks in the photos, they all wore masks during the school excursion and temporarily removed them only when taking pictures.
