On November 21, 2022, two NITKC alums who previously participated in the “Tobitate! (Leap for Tomorrow) Study Abroad Initiative” as guest speakers, held a study abroad consultation session. The speakers were: Mr. Motoi Miyake, who studied abroad in Costa Rica for one year (Swing Engineering Corporation), and Mr. Yusuke Ozaki, currently studying abroad in the Philippines under the Tobitate! Program (as a graduate student at the Toyohashi University of Technology; online participation).

Mr. Miyake and Mr. Ozaki described their own experiences on how they came to consider studying abroad. They discussed their planning, stories, and enthusiasm for studying abroad, which are essential for application documents, interviews, etc. They also carefully answered questions from the students. They concluded that what they experienced through studying abroad strengthened their ability to act and attempt difficult tasks, which they apply in their work.

The consultation session was successful and meaningful for student participants. NITKC continuously hopes for our students to actively take up the challenge of studying abroad in the future.
