On Monday, January 29, 2024, the 2023 international understanding seminar was held at Takuma Campus for second-year students.

Mr. Takeshi Wakamiya, a Returned member of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV), was invited as a guest lecturer and gave a lecture titled "I LIKE OKRA SOUP. He talked about his past relationships with overseas countries.

The students were captivated by Mr. Wakamiya's numerous anecdotes during his talk, and many questions were asked during the Q&A session at the end of the lecture, which further piqued their interest in foreign countries.

"Overseas is interesting" and "Overseas is exciting" － NITKC hopes students will take the first step overseas by valuing the excitement and interest of going abroad.
